Description

Still life formed of a violin with bow, lutes, and a spinet as well as a musical score (with legible notation) on a table that is covered with a red cloth. The still life presents the visual narrative of vanitas. The spinet is lying on a red damask covered table. There is a theorbo or archlute on top of spinet, and a mandolino (mandola or mandole) to the right on the table. A decorative black chest supports the violin surrounded by an arrow and apple.
