Description
A drawing of Napoleon's exile to the island of Elba in May of 1814. Napoleon is captive in a cage. In the background waters, two British ships await. On the land: an Asian man, the empress dressed in rags, four handicapped French war veterans depicted as street musicians with organ, triangle and frame drum. On a central hill under a tent, the virgins of the five allies show loyalty behind a burning altar. In the sky, a man rides the winged horse, Pegasus.
