Description

The painting depicts the family of Frederick, Prince of Wales. Two adult female figures appear in the center. One holds an infant. Two males appear seated on the left, and two female children appear seated on the right. The girl second from the right holds a lute. A drum appears lying on the floor next to the girl farthest to the right. In the front appear three younger children. Three dogs appear playing with the girl in the front. In the background hangs a portrait of Frederick, Prince of Wales.
