Description

The painting shows a part of the green and golden paneled room in the artist's eighteenth-century home, the Château du Bréau (located outside the village of Dammarie-les-Lys near Fontainebleu) with different objects: chased and gilded bronze candelabras, a bombé commode in the style of Louis XV, on which are a rococo sculpture in terra cotta and two porcelain statuettes. Above the commode on the wall a relief depicting musical instruments.
