Description
This item is one in a series of prints that John Faber the younger made under the title "Rural Life," following original works by Philippe Mercier. With trees in the background, a young man is playing pipe and tabor, with the drum attached by a sash around his waist, a drumstick in his right hand, and the pipe held at his lips by his left hand. He wears a waistcoat and tricorne hat, and gazes directly toward the viewer.
