Description

Set in a forest clearing, this drawing shows a semicircle of twenty-one bare-breasted women in matching skirts (half sarees); their arms are interlocked and each one has one foot raised, matching the pose of a nude female who faces them; possibly a representation of a Hindu rite of passage (Ritu Kala Samskaram).
