Description

A composite of six progressive pictures of a couple dancing a minuet; the images, in caricature, reflect steps associated with the dance as well as costumes, customs, and a humorous conclusion to the activity. Note on back of this item refers to additional images in the series. On back, upper left: "John Peace"; on back of mount, center: "Anonymous, 18th c. | John PEACE (?) after H. W. Bunbury | (formerly attributed to H. W. Bunbury); signed in brown ink, verso, upper left: "John Power."
