Description

Five versions of a female figure (Takka-Takka), four of them semi-naked and dancing (two holding a mask); one dressed figure (profile view) is sitting in the lower left and seems to observe or to be absorbed in thoughts. Takka Takka (birth name: Lucie Lindenmannovou), was a female dancer from Java (then part of Dutch East Indies, today Indonesia) who married Ernest Neuschul, the painting's creator, in 1922.
