Description

This porcelain figure of a bagpiper is one in a set of five figures attributed to John Astbury owned by the Museum Fine Arts Boston. The set includes two others related to music: a violinist (MFA#1979.792) and a conductor (MFA#1979.793); the non-musicians in the set are a man reading (MFA#1979.789) and a cobbler (MFA#1979.791).
