Description
This painting is a copy of Baschenis's original, in the Accademia Carrara, Bergamo (see RIdIM item 3157). It presents a still life with musical instruments piled on a table with books and an ebony case on which are two apples. From the top right a heavy carpet-tent hangs and encloses the picture.
A book with music is opened on the spinet and some music sheets are disposed on the body of the cello but under its strings.
