Description
This scene of eight aristocratically-dressed individuals includes a young girl, back toward the viewer, playing a fortepiano. A knee-operated moderator is visible near the treble end of the instrument's case, directly below the girl's right hand. A book (notation not visible) is open on the instrument's music rack. Two other individuals may be preparing to sing from an open book (no notation visible). The remaining figures appear to be listening or conversing.
