Description

Scene depicts Mary and the baby Jesus seated behind a short colonnaded wall; beside her are two angel-musicians (one playing a portative organ, the other and end-blown wind instrument (possibly shawm)); in front of the short wall are two additional angel-musicians (one playing a lute, the other a shoulder-held bowed string instrument, partially visible from behind (probably lira da braccio).
