Role portrait of the dancer Ruth St. Denis costumed as the Mughal empress Nur Jehan (1577–1645) whom she interpreted in solo dance performances in the early 20th century; image at the Gardner museum appears to be from a periodical illustration, perhaps on the reverse side of the 1916 Vanity Fair article The Art of Literary Advertisement, by Henry Brinsley, one page of which appears with it on the museum's website.
