This work depicts a chateau in the background with formal gardens extending toward the viewer; central to the foreground is a representation of a man, seated, playing a lute for the woman beside him. Also featured in the overall design of the large tapestry are many arcitectural details (including a fountain and covered walkways), plants, flowers, fruits, and birds.
