Description

An allegorical representation of human life as a nude young man seated on a box containing theatrical masks and leaning on a large sphere while an angel decends from heaven sounding a trumpet at the man's forehead. He is surrounded by figures representing gluttony, voluptuousness, greed, wrath, and sloth. The artist's name, "Michael Agelus in Ven.," appears in capital letters in the lower left. The publisher's name, "Ant. Sal. exc." (Antonio Salamanca), is printed at the extreme left.
