Description

Three men dig in the ground at the foot of a hill or mountain topped with trees. One man kneels and helps a small infant monster to walk out of the hole dug in the ground. The hole is being dug by a second shirtless man who is bent over pushing a shovel into the ground using both hands and his left leg. The third man stands to the right of them holding a shovel in his hands and looking at the monster over his right shoulder. Apollo has descended on clouds to the ground as the monster comes forth. He is wearing only a cloak covering his shoulders that wraps around his left leg and billows out behind him. He holds his three-stringed lyre in his right hand resting on his right thigh. There is a halo around his head.
