Apollo stands in a niche. He is nude except for a large cloth that is draped over his left shoulder and arm and extends behind him all the way to the ground and on top of a tree stump. He is leaning with his right hand on the tree stump, and holding a lyre in his left hand. He has long, wavy hair, and his head is turned to the right looking over his shoulder. His left leg is on the ground, and his right leg is slightly bent forward with his foot on a rock. A snake is crawling up the tree stump toward his hand.
