Description
An elderly man with glasses is playing the flute for two young girls while seated on a chair and leaning forward with his left elbow on his left thigh. His curly, light-colored hair appears from under his liberty cap. He is wearing a long-sleeved shirt, vest, knee breeches covered by an apron, and slippers. The girls appear in left profile. The younger has short light hair and is holding up music against her chest for the man to read while playing. The older girl has long dark hair beneath a hat with a long ribbon coming out of the top. She is holding a doll in her left hand. There is a birdcage at the top left of the picture, a bag hanging in front of a small window above the girls' heads, and a book with some papers on a shelf behind the older girl.
