A band of 16 men, one African-American, and 15 white, wearing military uniforms poses under trees. Most musicians are holding a variety of over-the-shoulder saxhorns. Also shown are cymbals, a snare drum, and a bass drum with the inscription, "Elmira Cornet Band."
