Description

Painting showing the encounter between Odysseus (Ulysses) and the sirens. One of the sirens holds a lyre with one hand and beckons Odysseus towards her with the other.

The figures in this work are thought to be inspired by Rubens and in particular, The Landing of Marie de Médicis at Marseilles.
