Description

Portrait of the French oboist, wind instrument maker and composer (Paris, 1799–1839). He studied oboe with Gustave Vogt, and from 1819 through his death was performing as the second oboist of the Opéra orchestra along with his teacher. Instruments he has made were held in high regard. The portrait was produced by "Lith. de Fonrouge" and printed by Bleusot.
