Description
Portrait of the German composer and conductor Valentin Eduard Becker (1814-1890). He was celebrated as a composer in Würzburg of popular male choruses, and he also wrote several Masses and two operas (Die Bergknappen and Der Deserteur). The portrait was etched after a photograph, and issued by Baumgärtner's Buchhandlung.
