Description
In this vanitas painting a lady plays the lute. On the left, on the floor is a small cello with bow, to its right, a violin or kit on the ground. A shawm lies on the table by an open book of music. An open virginal is on the right of the picture. The case for the lute is on the floor in the left foreground. Other vanitas objects are also present (games, pipe, masks).
