Description
In the foreground, the woman furthest to the left, who has removed her hat, holds two sheets of paper. She turns to the man behind her. The other man in the group has a slender, cylindrical pipe (probably a duct-flute). In the distant background a second group of five shepherds can be seen. A seated shepherd plays a shawm and the couple opposite him bends over a songbook.
