Description
Chapter Twelve of the book of Revelation speaks of the appearance in the heavens of a women clothed with the sun, "the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars". Rings of angels circle the Virgin. Here we can see nearly all the instruments of the period: lutes, violas, double shawm, trumpets, drums, bells, horns, bagpipes, and hurdy-gurdies. Jesus has a bell in each hand.
