Wedding banquet scene at Cana with Jesus in the right corner of the painting and a string ensemble accompanying the festivities in the upper left. || In der Sala Terrena eines phantastischen Palastes sitzt die Hochzeitsgesellschaft an Tischen. Im Vordergrund bringt gerade einer der Diener einen Krug mit Wasser. Christus istzt am Tischende rechts im Vordergrund und blickt genHimmel, hinter ihm Maria (mit Heiligenschein). Links, etwas im Hintergrund, ist eine kleine Bühne aufgebaut, auf der drei Musiker mit Streichinstrumenten musizieren (Bassgambe, 5 Wirbel, Bogen im Untergriff; Viola d'amore?, Violeninstrument mit mindestens 8 Wirbeln; Violine).

This entry has been completed using information from Anna Valentini's article. According to Valentini, who draws from Barbara Ghelfi's Scarscellino chronology, this work dates to ca. 1615 "on the basis of the solidity of form and the colorway" (see Valentini 2013, 47).
