Description
An impressionistic painting likely representing "Largo for Organ, Harp, and Strings," the contemporary title of a work by Handel popular in Melbourne in 1888-1889 according to Teniswood-Harvey (see references). Two men are at the organ on the right side of the painting, and a line of women (including a violinist and, possibly, a harpist) is depicted on the left side.
Part of the August 1889 9 by 5 Impression Exhibition.
