Four people performing, three of them seated on a bench, from left to right: A man singing, holding a stick in his left hand; A woman snapping fingers, probably in time to the music; A man, back view, playing a guitar (?); Standing behind them a man playing mandolin.

Notes

During the 1880s a large number of American artists were interested in Spanish music, art and culture. This work was completed after Dannat had made several sketching trips to Spain. It was exhibited at the 1884 Paris Salon.
