    Picabia made a trip to New York in 1913 to see the Armory Show, and returned to Paris to set up an art school. It has a companion piece, "Edtaonisl (Ecclesiastic)" (Art Institute of Chicago).

    Picabia made a specific connection with music and stated that the two works were "subtly opposed like musical harmonies."
