Description
An elegantly dressed young woman is seated at a table scattered with several items related to the 'vanitas' theme (jewellery, hour glass, candle stick, books) while an old woman is whispering something at her ear. In the foreground on the left some coins are lying on the ground while some musical instruments are resting against a chair on the right: a viola da gamba, a violin and a lute.
