Description

An angel playing a lyre is seen hovering against a background of stenciled flowers. The church underwent major reconstruction work during the eighteenth century, then was restored in 1899. At that time, the mural paintings, possibly from the fifteenth century, were barely visible and were thus "restored" or entirely repainted. The concept of the angel in this motif is of the nineteenth century rather than the medieval.

Instruments [MIMO Code] (notes)

Lyre [3501] (the instrument is suspended from a band around the angel's neck.)
