Description

David holds a sword in his right hand and the head of Goliath in his left. He is welcomed by the Daughters of Israel, two women, the foremost of whom is of nobler birth and wears a crown on her head. With the beater she holds in her right hand she strikes the inside left corner of a triangle with three rattle-rings which hangs from a ring on the index finger of her left hand. The woman behind her holds an instrument with a rounded body resembling a lute, which she plays without a plectrum.
