Description
Left door: The central figure is a seated woman playing a lute between two putti, both playing an instrument. Unplayed instruments appear lying on the ground at the woman's feet; additional unplayed instruments appear behind each putto. The first putto (upper left corner) plays a mandolin. Behind him appear the neck of a lute, the end of an unidentified wind instrument, part of an s-shaped trumpet, the body of a violin, the top of a recorder, and the neck of a violin. The putto in the upper right plays a small harp. Behind him appear the bell and curved body portion of an s-shaped trumpet, a rebec, a violin (body and most of fingerboard), the top of two recorders, and the end of an unidentified wind instrument. Unplayed instruments at the base of the door are (from left): a curved horn, cittern, and part of an s-shaped trumpet.
