Description
A standing figure with left arm raised, clasping a small cylinder, which in the marble version is part of the tube of a straight trumpet. This wax model shows no instrument and the figure does not appear to be blowing an instrument. The cylinder may have been intended to be the mouth-piece end of the instrument since it flares slightly toward the player.
