Description

Top (after the painting Le triomphe d'Alexandre by Charles Le Brun [1619-1690]): To the left, a woman plays a lyre or kithara (bottom not visible); next to her a man plays an end-blown pipe; in the background several straight trumpets are partly visible. To the right of the woman is a standing man who blows a long, curved animal horn. Bottom (after the painting Le passage du Granique by Charles Le Brun): A battle scene, with a soldier blowing a straight trumpet.
