Description

An elegantly dressed young man sits on a bench playing a string instrument, the slightly incurved sides and low ribs of which give it a strong resemblance to a vihuela.

Instruments [MIMO Code] (notes)

Vihuela [3252] (The belly lacks a central soundhole, but on either side of his left hand there are two dark, quadrangular marks which are probably soundholes. Pegbox is thrown back at an angle; five or six strings are outlined against the belly and are fastened to a tailpiece on the base of the instrument. Strings are plucked with the left hand; no plectrum.)
