Description
"The casket contains fourteen enamel plaques with scenes. Two of the fourteen plaques contain musical subject matter: "Tubar et Jubar" (top left, front) and "Davit vincit Goleas" (bottom, right end). In the first, Tubal-cain and Jubal work at an anvil while Naamah (the sister of Tubal-cain) sings and plays a psaltery. In the second, David, standing with the head of Goliath, is met by a group of men and women. One of the women carries a portative organ. The pillar in the fireplace at the left bears no inscription."
