Description
Trompe l'oeil of side drum with a poster behind. This is one of a set of seven trompe l'oeil (deceive the eye) paintings that were painted for the architect Denis Martineau (1907–1975), the previous owner and donor of Mompesson House. The other themes are Music, Agriculture, Architecture and Art and these are displayed flanked by two paintings of urns in niches.
