Description

Franz Schubert and the painter Leopold Kupelwieser, absorbed in talking, are depicted at the left edge of the watercolor. In the center of the watercolor: a cart drawn by two horses, with wooden benches on each long side, on which a group of 4 women and 7 men are seated; one man is walking alongside the cart while two are running in front of it. The dresses represent contemporary Biedermeier fashion. The entire depiction shows friends of Schubert on their way from Atzenbrugg to Aumühl.
