At the top, the Madonna and Child are seated on a throne, surrounded by eight cherubs. An additional two cherubs are shown to the lower left and right of the Madonna and Child. In the lower left, an angel plays violin, with another immediately to the left playing aulos. A third angel kneels below. In the lower center, an angel holds a book, while another immediately to the left plays cymbals, and a third kneels below. In the lower right, an angel plays harp while another stands with folded hands to the immediate left and a third kneels below. The inscription at the bottom of the window reads, "Their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in Heaven."People as subjects
