Description
Poesis is seated with a lyre while two putto are both holding stones carved with the NVMINE and AFFLATVR. Raph. Sanctius pinxit ; Bernardinus Nocchi delineavit ; Raph.el Morghen sculp. "Engraved at Rome, 1781, after the original fresco on the ceiling of the Camera della Segnatura, Stanze of the Vatican, over the lunette representing Parnassus" (Halsey, p. 131).
