Description

Side panel of a tryptich from the cathedral Notre-Dame d'Amiens depicting David being crowned king of Israel. He is surrounded by religious peers and soldiers. On the galleries on both sides are musicians playing music: on the left side horn and long trumpet; on the right side: long trumpet and drum.
The other side panel provides a depiction of the coronation of Louis XII (see RIdIM item: 10882). The reverse side shows a Pietà inspired by Rogier van der Weyden.
